Mac Safari :: Ebay Does Not Display Properly
Nearly all listings I browse in ebay has an additional frame in it so you have to scroll left right within the listing itself. I thought wrongly that it was poorly put together listings. Tonight I did my own listing in garagesale and stuck it up there and its displaying the same issue. And in all the other browsers I have tried it looks totally fine.

ITunes :: Library SEARCH Doesn't Work Properly?
Very recently, a  search for a particular artist starting yielding songs by that artist but also many other artists. Some might think I shouldn't be disturbed by this, but the search function was perfect until now. There were no unwanted selections. What is wrong? How can I get iTunes to function as perfectly as it has for many years?

OS X :: Pages In Leopard - Doesn't Work Properly With Hebrew Text?
When working with the application "Pages" in Leopard, I have found that there is a problem when using English and Hebrew font in the same document. Simply by adding a Hebrew character to an a document with English words, the text "goes crazy". For example, the text can bunch up so much that it looks like a black blotch on the computer. Also, the length of the lines can go from being normal (i.e. run across the width of the page) to being limited to very short lines, as well as some somewhat bunched up text. This problem is present both in the main text and in the footnotes. In addition, I have seen all of these problems present in the main text as well as in the footnotes (i.e. the "black blotch", the bunched up text and, the shortened lines).

MacBook Pro :: Networking - WiFi Doesn't Work Properly
Short Story: WiFi doesn't work properly.

Long Story: I got a new router as my old router was disconnecting all wirelessly connected clients randomly for no reason. I got a Linksys WRT160n to replace it, which is now running DD-WRT. My previous router was a Belkin F5D9230uk4 v5000. Ever since I installed the new router, my Mac has had issues with WiFi and Ethernet. I don't know whether the router has done something to the Mac to give it issues or something but whatever the **** it is, it's annoying me.

Let's start. First day of having the router, I go upstairs in my bedroom where my Mac is located, with the router downstairs. I am unable to do anything in terms of going on the internet, MSN etc. However I had full signal bars. I tried the usual of turning AirPort off, removing and re-adding the service, resetting the router to defaults, trying different channels and channels widths and so on. I go downstairs and it all of a sudden works again! I go back upstairs, same issues. So for the rest of that day, I just used my iPhone to connect to the internet...................

Mac Safari :: Safari Doesn't Work On Some Sites
Ok this is a weird problem (I think it is anyway) - I have noticed that on some websites that pressing a button that should start another action or load a page does nothing. The same page on my laptop resultsin the action. Give you an idea - I was trying to download the latest version of Toast from the ROxio site - it asked me to log in and I entered all my details but it would not operate the login button, I have reset safari and deleted it and reloaded it (twice) but still nothing. I am running the latest Safari under Snow Leopard on a 24" IMac - 2.16 GHz Core Duo

OS X :: Shortcut In Safari Doesn't Work?
I recently got a MacBook Pro 2Ghz and therefore would like to try Safari out. I used Firefox on Windows and I loved the shortcut to the Google Search (CMD+K).

But it isn't there in Safari. So I googled it and found out I can make my own shortcut for it. This is what people have said I should do:

Quote:

1. Open System Preferences.
2. Click on Keyboard & Mouse.
3. Click on Keyboard Shortcuts.
4. Click the + to add a new shortcut.
5. Choose Safari from the Application menu.
6. Type Google Search... (without the quotes) into the Menu Title field. Those three dots are an ellipses, formed by typing Option-semicolon (not three periods).
7. Press Command-K in the Keyboard Shortcut field.
8. Click Add.
9. Close and reopen Safari.

I couldn't make the ellipses through Option-semicolon, but alt-X. I think it's because it's a Danish keyboard, but I don't know.

But here's the problem: It doesn't work.

I've done it step by step and I've tried to restard the computer and done it again, it just doesn't work.

Intel Mac :: A Website Doesn't Display Properly On It
I own both an iMac and a MacBook.Lately I've been trying to use [URL] and while the website does work, it displays totally wrong on my iMac ?I looked at all I could think of (not a newbie, but not savvy enough to go look in the coding to look for errors there). The one section from the site which displays correctly is one without a menu on both right and left. It's a blog. Here's a clue, I guess. I tried with both Safari 5.1.6 and Firefox 13.0, with the exact same result. But on my Macbook it displays perfect! I am using Firefox 12.0 on it. So I downgraded to Firefox 12.0 on the iMac... no success.Of course I also cleared the cache, closed the browser, and the computer... no luck.I then removed all plugins, since it was the only remaining difference...I thought it could be a difference in display... altough I couldn't see how... I changed it from 1920x1080 to the ones similar to my Macbook's (1280x1024 and 1280x720)... Of course it was the same, just more blurry. It doesn't make sense and I hate it when it doesn't make sense!Of course I hate it even more that I can't use that website on my iMac!!! (or with a lot of hassle).

OS X Tiger :: Safari Won't Work And Software Update Doesn't Recognize Internet Connection
I'm using Safari Version 4.0.3 (4531.9) and it won't browse to any website. I initially thought it was a problem with Airport so I unplugged and restarted my Airport device but Safari still wouldn't work. Then I noticed that I was still getting email and when I tried Firefox it worked fine. So I thought perhaps I needed a software update for Safari but when I tried to run Software Update it said it couldn't connect to the server and to check my internet connection. I clicked on the Network Diagnostics link which came back saying that my internet connection was fine. I then Googled a bit using Firefox and saw some posts which suggested move the .plist files out of the Library/Preferences folder. I've moved the com.apple.Safari.plist and com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.plist for all users.

Applications :: Safari 5 - Auto Fill URL Doesn't Work Any More
I just noticed that when I start to type a URL in the URL field in Safari 5, it behaves differently than before. For example, before, if I typed "app" in the URL field and hit enter, it would automatically fill in "[URL:..] and load the site. That's because Apple's site was the only site in my bookmark list that started with "app". Now when I type "app", it fills in [URL:..] instead, because that site's DESCRIPTIVE TEXT begins "Apple, Macintosh...". So now, it assumes the letters I type in the URL bar are to help me find a site based on the "descriptive" text, instead of the actual URL text. I really hate this new behavior. I looked for an option or preference to change, but found nothing. Any of you know how to revert this behavior, or if it is even possible to do so?
