Why am I still getting pop-ups when I've checked "Block Pop-Up Windows". I'm tired of time wasting ads!

While I'm at it, is there any way I can block pop-under ads? I leave sites and see 1, 2, 3, 4 ads all piled up under where my Safari window was.

Mac Safari :: Safari Windows Pop To The Front
As a long time Mac user one aspect of Safari has always annoyed me. When opening multiple windows simultaneously, when I try to change to a different application, Safari windows pop to the front most window preventing me from changing until they all load.
Is there a way to prevent this behavior? Maybe a third party extension? When I use Firefox this behavior is not evident.

Safari :: How To Stop Pop-ups In The Yahoo Browser
I have checked "Block pop-up windows" in Safari but still get pop-ups.  Yahoo is now doing a pop-up bar at the bottom of the page advertising a new feature.  It doesn't seem like Safari is blocking anything: pop-ups are a regular feature on many websites I visit.

Mac Safari :: "Yahoo! Advertiser Surveys" Pop-Up Won't Stop Popping Up?
I have tried unsuccessfully to contact Yahoo! and have posted on other forums, trying to stop this pop-up from showing up. About 1/3 of the time that I open my Yahoo! Mail, I get a pop-up that states that it is:

Yahoo! Advertiser Surveys
Your opinion counts!
Time to tell Yahoo! what you think.
Take the survey No, thanks

Whenever you hit "Take the survey," "X" out of it, or simply click "No, thanks," it locks up. I have to get out of Yahoo! Mail and go back in, as I am unable to open up most of my messages.

I'm using the new iMac with everything up-to-date. Also, I have enabled the pop-up blocker on Safari. I have cleared my cookies, and even reset Safari a few times. However, it keeps coming up.

My iMac is acting like a PC.

Software :: Safari Has Refusing To Allow Pop-up Windows To Spawn?
Recently my Safari has been refusing to allow pop-up windows to spawn, instead directing them to open in new tabs. Minor issue, to be sure, but really annoying to pop-out a google talk chat and having it open in a new, huge, tab instead of small window (better to multi-task that way). Same with Rhapsody, I'd like a small player on the side of the screen I can monitor, not a seperate tab.I'm currently running Safari 4.0.4 on 10.6.2. I have pop-up blocking disabled and Glimmer Blocker disabled. I also have Glims installed, but I have the option checked to allow new windows to open if a site requests one. Has anyone come across similar behavior in their safari and know of a fix? Am I being a knucklehead and missing something obvious?

Safari :: Open Pop-ups In New Tabs Rather Than In New Windows?
Just recently I took my 13" MacBook Pro (Late 2010 Model) to my local Apple Store. When I brought it there they fixed my problem, but in the mean time they had to completely delete and uninstall Safari and Google Chrome off of my laptop. Before the apple store, my Safari would always open pop-ups and links in a new tab, now they open up in a new window. how to change it so they open in new tabs? The reason I need this changed is I might have unecessary websites open, and they would just be taking up space.

Applications :: Yahoo Zimbra Free Pop Email Access For Mac (or Windows)
So I've been a long time yahoo mail user, I tried Gmail for a while but found Yahoo easier to use not to mention its UI looks much better. Gmail's UI compared to Yahoo's UI looks like something that hasn't been finished or something. Yahoo's UI just looks more polished (am I the only one who likes yahoo better than gmail?) , anyways, the only advantage I found to Gmail was the free IMAP access (you have to pay for POP access on yahoo).

Searching around on the web for ways to have free POP access with yahoo mail, I found a software solution from a company called Zimbra . It's a mail application that lets you access your free yahoo account(s) from your desktop. You can also add other POP (or IMAP) enabled accounts (AOL, hotmail, Gmail, Outlook accounts, etc).

I just downloaded the application on my mac and I've been playing around with it. I was wondering if anyone has had positive or negative experiences with this application. Good enough to replace the other mail apps?

Mac Safari :: Uploading Files - Finder Window Takes Forever To Pop Up
I'm having a strange problem with my Finder. When I am in Safari or FF (Using 10.6.3) and I click the button to select a file to upload on any website, it take the finder window about 20-30 seconds to pop up. This happens every time I want to navigate to select a file. I get the spinning beach ball and the Finder window finally pops up generally 20 seconds later. I checked this in another user account on my machine and it has the same problem. I don't think it's a Safari or FF problem, as it's doing it in both browsers - why it would take forever for the Finder selection window to pop up?

IMac PPC :: Sbcglobal.net Email Pop-up Box Keeps Coming Up The POP Server "pop.att.yahoo.com" Rejecting Password?
I am having trouble with our sbcglobal.net email account. A pop-up box keeps coming up: the POP server "pop.att.yahoo.com" rejected the password for user ...@sbcglobal.net. I've reset the password and it's still not working. SBC/ATT says it's an Apple issue, not their issue... that Apple mail is not recognizing the account or something like that. I've also tried adjusting to "recieve mail manually" instead of automatically (on all of our apple products) - still not working. Continual pop-up box rejecting password, no mail coming in to that account either.

Mac Safari :: 4.0.3 Does Not Stop On Hitting X In Toolbar
I am using Safari Version 4.0.3 (6531.9) in 6.2.1 64-bit Kernel. I am on slow dialup and usually cancel pages before they load completely. I have noticed that this version of Safari does not stop downloading immediately when I tell it to. It will continue downloading elements it has started until they complete. This makes browsing with a slow dialup connection very difficult. Have others seen this behavior?

I also use GLIMS, Safari Adblock, Stand, PithHelmet and Saft. I would need to have a Conflict Catcher to see if these are interacting badly, but all provide advantages when on dialup. If it is a Safari routine, I wonder if their is a Key I can add to com.apple.Safari.plist to change the behavior.
