Mac Safari :: How To Keep Private Browsing On

Completely brand new to apple. Gotta say this MacBook Pro is amazing! How do I keep private browsing on entirely? Sometimes it will uncheck itself and my history will gather again?

Mac Safari :: Remove Private Browsing From Version 4
I have a browsing habit that is incompatible with marriage and having Private Browsing available is a very big temptation. I was able to remove Private Browsing from Safari 3 but am unable to find out how to remove it from version 4. I have Snow Leopard and have installed Xcode Tools. It seems that most of the browsers are starting to add Private Browsing to their software.

Mac Safari :: Clear Indicate Private Browsing Mode?
I suggest Safari to clear indicate when it is in Private Browsing mode. Sometimes, I don't know what mode it is. I supposed to browse in Private mode for some website, but it's not in private mode. So it should clearly indicate which mode it is.

1. Go the gmail, log in as user1
2. Enable Private browsing

4. Disable Private browsing
5. Go to gmail and logout.

At this point gmail will not let me switch to user2. I have to quit the whole browser before I get that option.

Mac Safari :: Selective Private Browsing (History Exclusions)
I have certain websites I visit that I would rather my wife and family didn't know about. The private browsing feature messes with my passwords and so forth. I would rather not use it. I have been manually deleting history items. I cannot "clear history" as my wife complains, she likes the history. Is there a way to get safari to not remember certain sites? I think this would be a good feature to implement. There could be a preference pane for history exclusions and you could just type in the urls of sites you do not want to receive cookies from or have placed into the history.

Mac Safari :: Restore Extension Ignores Private Browsing
Just a heads-up to forum readers...the SafariRestore extension for 5.0.1 that on launch reloads the pages/tabs that were open at the last quit will reload any page(s) that were open even if the session was in "Private Browsing". The developer, and I would assume Apple, know about the problem but the extension is still featured on the Apple Safari web site (with no warning).

Mac Safari :: Private Browsing - Keyboard Shortcut Makes A Duplicate In Menu?
I like the Private Browsing feature in Safari for Mac. And I'm aware of that I can hold down the option button while I enter Private Browsing to avoid the dialog box that usually appears.

However, I would really like to make a keyboard shortcut for the Private Browsing feature. But this doesn't seem possible without creating a duplicate in the Safari menu. After I created the shortcut, there are two Private Browsing options in the menu. One with ellippsis (...), and one without. But this just looks .

OS X :: Does Safari Has Private Browsing?
I have just recently got my first mac, moving from a windows computer.

On my previous pc on internet explorer there was an option for 'Private Browsing' which didn't leave any files or anything and the sites visited were fully untraceable.

On Safari i have noticed the same option, does this do the same (doesn't leave any cache or history or anything like that?)

OS X :: Private Browsing Not Working In Safari 5?
In Safari 5, cookies from private browsing session aren't being erased after closing the private browsing session. The private session pages don't appear in the history, so that much works; I have no idea if the cache is being emptied. Is anyone else having this problem? I've uninstalled the add-ons I had (ClickToFlash, Glims) and turned off the new Safari Extensions, so I'm ruling them out as the problem.

OS X :: Safari History And Private Browsing
It appears as though there may be some suspicious activity occurring on the family computer. Firstly, "private browsing", "reset safari" and "empty cache" all appear under the edit menu in safari. I don't recall having seen them earlier, does this mean they have been recently used or is it part of the standard menu? Also, in the internet history whilst no webpages can be found there are some obscene jpegs. Images found in the internet history, have they been deliberately viewed or is it possible that they find their way there behind the scenes?

Applications :: Safari 4 Disable Private Browsing?
I want to disable private browsing in Safari 4. I already managed to do it in Safari 3 following Mac Guide instructions (http://guides.macrumors.com/Safari#D...ivate_Browsing).

Now I want to do the same in Safari 4. I also downloaded the newest XCode. However, again following the above mentioned instructions I only get an error message saying that it can't open "nibs".

I'd appreciate any help!

[please don't start a general discussion about private browsing. Doing it in Safari 3 was the perfect solution for me. I really love this forum!]

Applications :: Auto Reset Or Private Browsing In Safari
Is there a way via an add-on or setting to have Safari perform a "Reset Safari" when you close Safari and/or have "Private Browsing" enabled when you a launch Safari? Similar to the functionality that FireFox has where you can clean up automatically after your session using "Clear Private Data." In FireFox there is a preference for it but I didn't see anything like that in Safari - leading me to believe there might be a hack or add-on that will do it.

Safari :: Flash Videos, They Are Only Display In "Private Browsing" Mode In 5.1.7
The symptoms is: The flash videos are only display with a full red bar and nothing happen, no video no sound nothing. The Flash player was upgrade with 11.2.202.235. before safari 5.1.7. I have an iMac with SL, and a Macbook with SL too. However after I upgraded safari 5.1.7 the flash videos are not display correctly, (only videos). The same happen in both computers. I need to tell you that I follow all the possible recommendations that I founded in internent. I uninstall flash pug-in many times. I restore both. I switch many buttons and options like "reset safari", "empty cahe", "block pop-up windows", "enable java-script", "enable java". I turn off and on the firewall. I switch all the options in the flash player plug in preferences. And nothing. I turn on and off the plug ins. In fact I tried all the possibilities in the preferences menus from the programs.

In one occasion I had a glimpse of functionality for only one hour without problems after I reinstall safari from the Apple website, but only worked until I turned off the computer. The next day was the same problem. After I fought with safari 5.1.7 and the plug-in flash player 11.2.202.235. Now I noticed something wired, only when I switch the "Private browsing" option in safari is when the videos are displayed correctly.

OS X :: Keep Top Sites While Using Private Browsing?
I like to use private browsing. Why is it after I set up my top sites and then use private browsing, if I open another window (command, n), I'll lose my top sites. Before I leave top sites, I make sure that I'm done editing and that the thumb tack is blue and not black which I'm told saves the sites. So what's going on? I'm actually at the Apple Store and the trainer at my personal projects sessions just doesn't know why this doesn't work. Anyone know how I can keep my top sites while I use private browsing?

Are there some settings or controls I need to play with to get things to work?

It installed but nothing changed, this is not the first thing that I have installed so I don't think that was a problem, I just felt odd about it,so I uninstalled it. Today I had some pop-ups. Can this AdBlocker be the cause. I should ad that it's not a lot of pop-ups, but some. This is my first Mac so I don't know what I'm doing and I don't know what I'm asking.
