Mac Safari :: Firefox - Both Browsers Crashing

Just last night both browsers, Safari and Firefox, both started crashing. It's only certain websites. It happens on gmail, it just happened on nbc.com, it happens at [URL]... it seems to be websites that need to load a certain component. Very frustrating! I think it's odd that it's both browsers. I'm assuming that its some third-party application, so to speak, like javascript or something like that. Any thoughts or fixes I could try? I already repaired permissions via Disk Utility to no avail.

Mac Safari :: Flash Player Crashing All Browsers
Computer in question is grandkids 17" G5 running 10.5.8, not as shown in profile This appears to be a fairly common problem and, as such, have tried virtually all the suggestions from previous posts. Uninstalled, installed, reset Safari, moved plug-ins out and back in one at a time and on it goes. I'd include crash report given the circumstances but not sure how to do that. What is my next step?

Mac Safari :: Safari And Firefox Crashing When Visiting Gmail
About an hour ago Safari (v4.04) started to crash when I visited the Youtube homepage. I tried with Firefox (v3.5.5) and it crashes also. My Mac is a 2.4Ghz Aluminum Macbook with 4Gb RAM and running Snow Leopard version 10.6.2

Both browsers are also crashing sometimes when I visit GMail. A few minutes ago, I tried to search for this problem using the search field next to the address bar in Safari, and that caused Safari to crash as well.

I've found a number of people experiencing problems with Youtube's homepage (some dating back a couple of years and some quite recent) and it seems they are related to the flash advertisment. I also saw a fix somebody posted in another forum where they removed the Flash plugin from library/Internet Plug-ins and I've tried that, along with downloading and installing the latest version of Flash from Adobe's website but that hasn't fixed it.

Mac Safari :: Firefox And Camino All Crashing?
I'm a regular safari user, but recently it has started to crash randomly after a minute or two of use. At first I thought maybe its just a safari bug, but I tried my firefox and downloaded and tried camino, and the same problem occurred. My first thought was that maybe it was some trojan thats being caught by my schools network, and crashing the browser, so I ran MacScan, and deleted all the tracking cookies found. My email (gmail) had been acting weird, recently (something sent out an adware message to all the people on my contacts list) so that I was sure would fix the problem. But the same thing keeps happening. The next thing I tried was to reinstall flash player, cause I thought maybe it was the specific pages I was going to, but even that didn't fix it. My girlfriend suggested that it was my battery (I recently got a new battery from AppleCare because my old one was bad) but I didn't understand how I could fix that, or why it would be the battery messing up my internet connection.

Safari :: This (and Firefox) Keep Crashing
My Safari has been crashing for MONTHS now but recently it would do so more when opening up Youtube on another tab, so I resorted to using firefox for that. But now Safari will crash for NO reason, I'd simply check my email then open another tab and BAM it crashes and lately it wont even let me send the report to apple! And on top of that Firefox wont even open for a second before that crashes too!

Also, I downloaded the new version of Flash, but it wouldn't work on safari and from reading on here I found out the new version wasn't compatible with my mac os x version so I uninstalled and reinstalled the old version like someone said to do and it worked for firefox but it still wasn't working for safari.

Anyways, I tried the "remove flackback" thing and it said "No flashback malware found"... so I have no clue what's going on.

OS X Leopard :: Flash Crashing Both Firefox And Safari
I've been having problems with Flash crashing both Firefox and Safari for some time now. I've archived and installed, erased and installed, installed OnyX and "cleaned" per a now closed thread here on the same topic. my last resort is to replace the RAM. I'm sure someone else has had this problem and I'm really hoping that someone has figured out how to fix it (short of replacing hardware, of course). Here is the complete crash report from Home> Library

OS X :: Safari And Firefox Crashing After Clean Reinstall Of Snow Leopard
I loved the speed improvements Snow Leopard gave to my computer, but I knew that I would have to do a clean install sooner or later. Now, Safari and Firefox are crashing frequently (multiple times a day!) and everything is slowing down again. I'm hoping a reinstall of the operating system will fix that. However, I used up all 5 installs on my Family Pack. Can I reinstall Snow Leopard with that disc, even though all 5 installs have been used? Do I need to buy another copy? Can the Genius Bar do the clean reinstall for me while my computer is there for other repairs?

OS X Leopard :: Constant Browser Hanging / Crashing (Safari, Firefox, And Camino)?
Lately my browser has been hanging/crashing on multiple websites. It doesn't matter what browser I use which is the odd thing! A browser always crashes at around the same time (about a second or two into loading). I am constantly force-quitting browsers and restarting them. I feel like it has something to do with Flash because the crashes occur whenever I visit Youtube, Myspace music pages or other sites with Flash applets on them (such as my blog where I have embedded videos).

Here are a bunch of sites my browser hangs on. Maybe you can find something in common with them all?[URL]And of course, everything runs smoothly when visiting sites with basic HTML, Javascript, etc. I can search Google, use Wikipedia, use Flickr, go to my website at [URL] use this forum, etc.

I've tried updating and reinstalling adobe flash player, restarting my computer, repairing permissions, using software update, etc. Restarting actually temporarily fixed the problem but within a few hours of browsing, it started happening again.
EDIT: I was able to go to [URL] and successfully watch videos there. Now I'm even more confused.

OS X :: Flash Crashing All Browsers?
I have a new 13" macbook pro. I updated to the new flash and now every time I go to a page that contains flash, my browser crashes. I've tried on safari, firefox and I'm currently on Chrome. I have no idea what to do. Everything else works fine it's just when I go on a site containing flash it crashes. I wanted to watch a stream from ustream and every time I went on the site it crashed. I've never been on that site, but I'm guessing they use flash. So, I downloaded the latest flash and now it's even worst. What do I do? The program actually freezes, but I can't do anything so I have to force quit it. Except Chrome I only need to exit the tab, I think.

Software :: Browsers Crashing On IMac?
For some reason, both Safari and FoxFire are crashing on my IMac. I am using the smaller EMac keyboard on that machine and last night, in an attempt to get the DVD drive open some of the F# buttons were pushed. This resulted in a hard boot from the power switch. Now both browsers blow up as soon as you try to do anything with them. I verified and repaired permission both from the HD and from the system disk and verified and repaired the disk as well but the problem still exists. I also unplugged and rebooted the ethernet router, but none of these steps have made any difference. What can I do now to fix teh situation?

Software :: Flash Player Crashing Browsers?
Yesterday, a web site that I use frequently suggested that I upgrade my Flash Player and gave me a link to do so. Ever since I downloaded and installed the new version, any time the Flash starts to load, the browser crashes.

I downloaded the Uninstall for Flash, unintalled it, restarted from my Install Disc and repaired the permissions as suggested. Then I restarted, installed the new version of Flash Player (with all browsers off!) but as soon as I accessed a web site and needed to use Flash, the browser crashed (both Safari and Firefox). Is there a solution or am I just out of luck now?

MacBook Pro :: Browsers Crashing - Become Slow - Get Beach Ball
I was using my MBP last night, browsing the web with the latest version of Firefox. the problem came when I needed to type a fairly long message. The browser would become slow, and I would get the beach ball. Then the text would catch up to what I typed and all would be fine. Then it became slow again and Firefox eventually crashed on me. I tried to submit the error report to Apple and it failed. Other apps I had open were mail.app and Adium. I rebooted the laptop and tried the same thing in Safari, without the extra apps open. I got a little farther, but Safari crashed on me too. I was not connected to the AC adapter and I was using the 9400 graphics card. Has anyone else seen this? Is there any troubleshooting I can perform to narrow down what was causing the problem?

OS X Leopard :: Browsers Crashing Presumably Due To Evil Flash-based Content?
I haven't had a problem with flash-based content until a couple days ago, when I installed a bundle of software updates, including 10.5.7. Since then, I have tried to access flash based content, such as pandora internet radio, youtube videos, and the standard view of gmail. On Opera, Safari, and Firefox, (all in which flash-based content worked before) I was left with the spinning rainbow of grief!

I have disabled the plugins for Shockwave Flash, which allows me to get around but denies me the ability to view videos or listen to music, which frankly is pretty ridiculous. So I proceeded to find some other means for me to have access without the spinning wheel of horror!

So I uninstalled the Flash 10 that I had, and installed and older Flash version: MAC 9,0,47,0 Now, I enabled the Shockwave Flash plugin, and I am able to view videos on youtube and google video. However, I am not able to listen to music on Myspace (claims I need the newest version 10), Pandora, or Gmail in standard view. So...the spinning wheel strikes again.

I am completely frazzled, and have read countless articles, each leading me nowhere, but more frustrated with Apple and their products. I have come to the conclusion that the browser, nor the sites are the problem.

The problem originates either from Macromedia Flash, OR the Software Update bundle Apple insisted that I install. I have a suspicion it's the latter. I know other people have been having similar problems with their Macbooks.

I've also noticed that Expose and Spaces are having very sluggish response times.

MacBook :: White 2008 Model - Browsers Crashing With Video / Youtube
My White MacBook 4,1 (summer 2008) has recently started to have big problems when I watch on-line video from within a browser. What happens is:

-Launch browser (same behaviour with Firefox, Safari, Opera)
-Watch video
-Video behaviour gets jumpy
-Spinning pizza wheel arrives
-Browser crashes

I have tried a reinstalling Snow Leopard, disabling the browser add-ons, running the browsers in safe mode and I get the same pattern of results. I guess it is a hardware fault but I do not know how to identify the fault. System Profiler tells me my RAM status is "OK" and there are no obvious faults anywhere else in system profiler.

Mac Safari :: Keep Getting Redirected On Browsers
I was trying to watch an episode of a show I missed, something came up and said I needed a codec and I clicked. Nothing came out though and I don't recall actually typing in my administrative password. So now, Safari and Firefox will redirect me whenever I search for something on a search engine. I get redirected to a weird site that has similar search results. Also, sometimes when I type in an address on the address bar it will take me somewhere else. I looked up a bunch of stuff online about this and it sounds like that DNSchanger trojan. The places I read that spoke about this said you can see if you're 'infected' by doing certain things, like looking to see if there's a specific file on your Internet Plugins folder, or looking up crontabs on Terminal, as well as checking your DNS on the Network Preferences of AirPort.

However, every time I search for this, there's nothing there, in any of them. No crontabs, no weird thing on DNS, no 'pluggins.settings' on my Internet Pluggins folder...nothing. I have Norton Internet Security and though I ran it various times and it found/deleted 'trojans' and a 'zango adware' thing, Safari keeps doing this whole redirect thing every time I search or every once in a while when I type something in the address bar. It's super annoying and I don't know what to do and if this is affecting my computer somehow or damaging it in a way I don't know and can't see.

Mac Safari :: Cannot Download Any Stuff On All Browsers
So my friend just got a new iMac and we did the Migration Assistance. Everything is fine except for the downloading. Cannot right click to save as either. Every single time we try to download something in Firefox it would open a new tab. In Safari the activity windows does show the data is streaming but in the download window there is nothing. I have performed a repair disk permission and nothing was there to repair. I have also cleared out the preferences and the caches in the system folder and it's still doing the same. And lastly, I had created a dummy account and it's doing the same on that account so it's a universal issue with the browsers.

Mac Safari :: Force Quit - All Browsers Freezing?
Recently, for around a week and a half, my browsers have been very temperamental and freeze a lot leaving me staring angrily at the "pinwheel of death". I've tried 4 different browsers including Safari, Chrome, Firefox, and Opera. It happens with many pages, not just one in particular, such as Facebook, Myspace, Youtube, and sometimes Google even gives me problems! Sometimes things will work out well for a while, but eventually it always freezes and i have to force quit the application. I've tried repairing disk permissions and that worked for a little bit, but the freezing continued. Repairing the permission no longer works for there is nothing left to repair, this is really agrivating, and I'd love to fix this problem but i have no clue where to begin. I've cleared my cache and cookies, but to no avail. If anyone has any idea how to fix this problem it would make my life much easier. I also don't think it's because i need to re-install the apps because I installed chrome and opera after these problems started happening.
