Mac Safari :: Cannot Open Link In New Tab With Left Mouse Click?

I've just "erase and install" my laptop, and I can't make links open in a new tab with just one left mouse click. I used to do it before re-installing Mac OSX. Can't I just enable any command which allows any link to be opened in a new tab without right clicking and then choosing this option or using hot keys? From the blog, I've come to know about Glims which gives this feature (and I think I had Glims installed before going for re-installation). I was just wondering if I could do it without using Glims?

Mac Safari :: Double Click On A Link - Open A New Tab
if i double click on a link in safari it will open a new tab

with the new touch mouse (which is great!) and having the two finger swipe back and forward navigate i'd like to have just open in the same tab (this will eliminate having to close tabs now)

as it was before it was one half dozen or the other to x close a tab or click the back navigate but now with the new mouse the need for that is gone so i'm looking for someone who knows where the setting might be to change this feature

Software :: Safari Crashes If I Try To Cmd Click A Link To Get It To Open In A New Tab?
I have Mac OS 10.4.11, and Safari 3.2.1. Safari crashes if I try to Cmd-click a link to get it to open in a new tab or right-click a bookmark and choose to open it in a new tab or a new window. It did not do that before I got the Safari update. I also cannot seem to get any content into more than 3 tabs without it crashing. Is there any way to fix it?

Mac Safari :: Right Click Options - Open In New Tab?
I am experiencing some issues with the right click options such as 'Open in New Tab' and 'Open in New Window'. When I restart my computer I am able to use the right click options 'Open in New Tab' and 'Open in New Window' and they work just fine but once I close Safari and reopen it later, I loose these options. The 'Open in New Tab' option isn't there anymore and the 'Open in New Window Option' just opens an untitled blank page. Is anyone else experiencing this? I have tried adjusting my tab preferences but that doesn't do anything. I know there is always command click but I really like my right click options.

Mac Bluetooth :: Magic Mouse - Right Click And Left Click Reversed?
My wireless keyboard and magic mouse recently has been disconnecting from Bluetooth. A few days ago they both quit, and after a call to apple tech support, I tried everything, including re-loading my system software(Mac Pro, Snow Leopard 10.6.2) When my keyboard and mouse finally came back up, when I de-selected the right click, the mouse wouldn't click. The cursor moves around, but no click. I have to plug in another mouse and select right click, and then the mouse will click, but the right and left click are reversed.

At one point, when plugging in an old wired mouse, I was able to select whether I wanted to enable the right or left click, and when I selected left click, the mouse quit clicking. I can't seem to get thatoption now with a wired mouse, and that might not even be related.

Mac Bluetooth :: Magic Trackpad - Open Link In New Tab
As far as I can tell the easiest way to open a link in a new tab in Safari is to click the link with two fingers and then select "open in new tab" from the context menu, or option-click the link. It'd be nice if there was a one-action way of doing this. Anyone know of one? With a mouse I'd click the middle button. If I could have my wish, I'd make a two-step tap. Tap with one finger then another, before releasing the first.

Hardware :: Unable Right Click/Left Click On Wireless Mighty Mouse After Disassembling
I had to dissassemble my wireless Mighty Mouse to clean it properly, as the trackball was unable to scroll up and down. As I had cleaned the trackball, I attached the two internal cables to their respective "slots" again and assembled the mouse.

Now my right button does the same as the left button (right click = left click). I tried dissassembling the mouse again, but I cannot see what I could have done wrong. After all, there are only two cables to attach and de-attach inside it.

Hardware :: Mighty Mouse Not Working Fine / Right Click Acts As Left Click
I just bought a mighty mouse, happy as I was, plugged it in and started my ibook running OS X 10.3.9.I know the mighty mouse shouldn't have full functionality (as the software delivered with it is >10.4.2).The problem is that the right click doesn't work right. When I try to right click it sometimes takes the right click, sometimes takes it as a left click (which is extremely annoying in firefox or finder).

I have SteerMouse (I'm a windows/linux user too) installed but when I denstalled it the problem remained.
When I plugged the mighty mouse in my pc (at that time running windows) right click just worked. When using a cheap mouse (from pleomax) the right click on the ibook (with Steermouse installed) works all the time.

I find this al really confusing. Seems like it can't be the hardware because it works on windows, but it can't be the software because another mouse does work.

I noticed that when right clicking at the total right side near the "expose-button" (not a position my fingers lay naturally) right click works all the time. I don't hope this is normal?

Mac Safari :: Every Link Opens In New Tab Or Window
I'd like to find a way so that every time I click a link in Safari, instead of opening in the current window, it opens in either a new tab or window. I understand that I can hold down "Command" while I click a link and it will open in a new window or tab, and that I can right click or control click and select "open in new window" from the contextual menu, but I don't want to do that. I simply want every link that I click to open in a new window. Every time. I'm willing to dig deep into the system and get under the hood if necessary.

Mac Safari :: How To Access History Of Tab After Opening Link
I use Safari 5 and open links in new tabs all the time. For instance, I will search for something in Google and then open all of the most interesting results in new tabs. Unfortunately, these newly opened tabs open with a blank history. I can't click on "back" to go back to the page from which I opened the tab, although that would be very natural. Or can I? Are there any options/workarounds/extensions that allow this?

(I can of course go back to the tab from which I opened the new one, but I don't always want that.) My way of thinking about browsing here is to see opening a new tab as following a road that branches off the one I was following before. It would seem natural if at the beginning of that branch there was the possibility to go back to the place where this road branched off, if not even further back.

OS X Leopard :: Left Mouse Click Stopped Working?
Today I plugged my Mac Book Pro into my HD tv via the DVI port. Everything worked fine and was able to use Front Row with my mac remote (awesome!). Later I disconnected the TV and closed the screen. Later, I opened the screen and found that my mouse does not work. Right clicking does but not left clicking. The trackpad works for scrolling, moving the mouse, etc. even two-finger clicking for right clicking works. Option clicking does not register a right-click. I have noticed also that nothing registers the mouse as hovering, links on websites do not change the cursor to a hand, the dock doesn't pop up the name of the program I am hovering over.

An external mouse has the exact same problem, left click works and right click doesn't. Restarting the computer does not help, although the mouse works properly at the login screen! The only way out of this is to connect my TV and disconnect it, then never shut the lid of my computer.

OS X :: Mighty Mouse Won't Right Or Left Click
i have a wireless mighty mouse for 9 months and today i had a serious problem. I had the casual problem with the trackball but i used to rub it on a clean peace of paper and it was fixed. When i done this today it won't right or left click. All it does is open the dashboard which this is the middle button. When i set off the middle button it can left click but not right. What the heck is going on? What should i do? Can it be fixed or do i need to go on an Apple Store and get a new one? God i hate this mouse. By rubbing it on a paper, the trackball is now scratched. Will this affect my warranty?

OS X :: Bluetooth Wireless Mighty Mouse Left And Right Click Options
Clicking with the left and right mouse buttons doesn't seem to be working properly. I first realised this when a message box warning me of low disk space popped up and I couldn't click on OK. Scrolling with the ball works, as does clicking with it. I restarted my iMac and removed the batteries from the mouse for a minute, but all that happened was that left and right clicks started acting like middle clicks. A wired mighty mouse works fine. I've tried cleaning it by turning it upside down and rubbing the ball on paper and a clean damp cloth, no change.

IMac Intel :: Mouse Won't Click - Left Out Of Work
I have a wireless bluetooth mouse made by Rocketfish. It won't left-click, but the right-click works for some things. To me it seems like the right-click has taken some of the functions that the left-click used to do. I can select menu items, but I can not click any buttons. So here is the situation. From the login screen I can r/c and select my profile. Type in my password and hit enter. That gets me into the desktop. Immediately I get a message telling me about my computer haveing been restarted after an unexpected shutdown and a iCal notification about an appointment last week. I can't do anything with either of these windows. They don't seem to function like normal windows, so close all doesn't work. The only way to close them is to click the button in the window which I can't do.

So now I am trying to reset the mouse or look at help topics using the combination of the mouse and keyboard, but any window that pops up is hidden by these other two windows, and I can't see what I need to see. Nor can I click on any of the options. I've changed the mouse with a USB mouse, and even used the mouse off my PC. All do the same. I tried booting in safe mose, but that didn't fix the problem. I read somewhere about booting from the disk, but I don't know how to do that. Also someone suggested restarting the disk utilities or something. When I tried that, I got to the point where I needed to click the button and could go no farther.

I have a sneaking suspicion my 11 year old was playing with something she shouldn't have like the universal access stuff, but she won't admit it and I don't know how to fix it. I'm an old PC user, so if you guys have an idea how to fix it, please be gentle with the mac-lingo. Also keep in mind I can't click on anything, so keyboard shortcuts are a must.
