I been googling and searching for an answer for this question...and all of them say to go through the router. But I was just wondering if there is a way to block computers from using my wireless? Here is the deal. I have a router set up which uses a WPA password. I live in a apartment building so I gave the password to some of my close friends to use. I monitor who is on my network through just looking at the "shared" section on my finder window. I can tell which computers belong to my friends, but every once in a while, an unknown computer pops up. I believe I have seen 3 unknown computers (PC's) - and they do not use the net frequently. I would like to block these computers when they come up. Is there a way to do this without going into the router settings and adjusting those protocols?

is there a list of IPs to block?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've Googled for apps to do this but all of the ones I've found are out of date. I realize there isn't much of a need for this anymore but I've just discovered about 20 tracks in my library are still protected. This means I can't use them in iMovie for the iPhone. Only about half of them are listed in iTunes as having iTunes Plus upgrades so I'm trying to figure out what to do with the rest.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI get this error message when I try to check for purchases: "Unable to check for available downloads. The iTunes store is temporarily unavailable. please try again later." This has been going on for months. Upgrading to snow leopard didnt change it. Various iTunes upgrades haven't changed it. What can I do? I'm running iTunes 9.0.2, OS X 10.6.2 on a Unibody Macbook.

I purchased and installed OSX Lion last year on two machines. I decided yesterday to finally update the last from OS 10.6.8 to Lion but find that 'OSX Lion' is missing from the my 'Purchased' list! The only other App that is missing is 'OSX Lion Server' (surprise surprise...)Â
What is also strange is that on the machines running OS 10.7.4, 'OSX Lion' is not showing as installed in the Mac App Store either! So I could in theory buy 'OSX Lion' again on a machine that is running OSX Lion!Â
How do I get to upgrade my Mac to Lion without buying it needlessly?Â
