Mac Bluetooth :: Wireless Keyboard Not Working - How To Repair

My curser turns to a question mark. I may get the first letter of a word before the curser turns into the question mark but that is it. I also have a big 'sun' on my desk top. Not sure what to call it or what it means. Like when your batteries are getting low and the picture of the mouse flashes up.

Mac Bluetooth :: Wireless Keyboard Doesn't Work After Repair?
Macally external wouldn't pic up by firewire. Used Bluetooth keyboard to browse web for help. Downloaded from Macally's site 'Firewire Enabler' using option+click since safari disabled my regular click and download method followed instructions for install of 'Firewire Enabler'(put it in the extensions folder).

Crash On startup with an error and grey restart screen of destruction.

Installed OSX on another drive, keyboard wouldn't pic up..... went for a wireless usb gateway keyboard located the 'Firewire Enabler' file and deleted it.

Restarted system and booted back from old drive.

Locate USB something error, Bluetooth keyboard neither lights up when turned on nor connects....

Mac Bluetooth :: New Wireless Keyboard Function Keys Not Working
I recently got an Apple Wireless keyboard- the newest one, with only 2 batteries. I connected it to my MacBook Pro (10.5.8) just fine, and everything seemed to have been working. But the function keys don't work for their functions (F7 as previous, F8 as play, etc.). I've tried changing the settings, manually mapping shortcuts, and reinstalling the keyboard, but nothing worked, I installed all the updates, including the Magic Mouse update, but the function keys still don't work properly. The system recognizes them, but I can't map shortcuts to them, nor do the built-in shortcuts work.

Mac Bluetooth :: Alu Wireless Keyboard Keys Stop Working
I bought an alu wireless keyboard secondhand, but i'm having problems with it! Sometimes it works perfectly, but at moments a row of keys just stops working! One of the commandkeys also dies. All other keys are perfect but it are always the same keys that malfunction. After some time they just come back to life (for a certain period of time)!

When the keys are dead and i push serveral of them together, it'll send strange commands to my mac. 3 dead keys together = "volume up" for example. Or 2 together is "@". Very very strange behaviour! This happens on both my mac pro and macbook pro.

From the Keyboard Preferences->Modifier Keys... pane re-mapping "caps" to "command" does not work with the paired Apple Wireless Keyboard (Model No A1314). The mapping DOES work on the MacBook Air keyboard itself, just not on the Apple Wireless Keyboard. The "Select keyboard" pulldown shows that the settings are the same for both devices. I have tried:

・deleting bluetooth device, pairing
・power-off/remove batteries, reconnect
・reboot after settings changes

Mac Bluetooth :: Bluetooth Doesn't Discover Wireless Keyboard Anymore
I installed the Magic Mouse yesterday along with the wireless update 1.0. Afterwards, my wireless keyboard was no longer connected to my computer. I replaced the batteries and turned the keyboard on. The green LED light started blinking (indicating it was in discovery mode), but the Bluetooth doesn't pick it up. My Magic Mouse works perfectly fine. I deleted the keyboard from my bluetooth menu (suggestion from Apple store) and tried to setup the keyboard as anew device, but still it wouldn't pick up the keyboard. As an aside, i brought the keyboard into the Apple store and the salesman was able to discover it and pair it with a MacBook. Yet, i cant do that with my iMac anymore.

Mac Mini :: Ir Remote And Bluetooth Not Working / Result Of Bad Repair?
I have a late 2009 Mac mini that I bought in March. 2 weeks ago I tried to use an apple remote with it and it would not work. Apple change the IR board on the mini. After 10 days I picked my mini up from the apple store and I noticed 4 marks from when they opened the mini. Ripped aluminum gouge marks on the bottom of the case, the back of the case by USB port does not line up anymore. I brought it to there attention but did not make a big stink and left. I have open a few mini's before (not this one)and know how it is easy to mess up.

When I got home I tried to use my bluetooth devices and they would not work, I tried the magic mouse, track pad, KB. I called apple to trouble shoot and they said I have to bring it back in for repair after 20 minutes of trouble shooting.

Mac Bluetooth :: Wireless Keyboard Not Discovered (LED Comes On Then Off)
I woke up this morning and my keyboard won't pair with my iMac. I did as the documentation instructs and tried to make it "discoverable". (I assume they mean turn it on). I guess the Mac was supposed to find it, but it didn't. The LED just comes on for 3 seconds and them goes off. I did this for like 30 minutes and it did the flashing light show twice, but couldn't get it to pair either times.

So I changed the batteries with fresh ones. Then I tried pairing it with my MacBook Pro. No go. Then deleted bluetooth preferences from my Library folders. Deleted the bluetooth profiles from the Keyboard system prefs, but to no avail! After reading these endless comments from people with keyboard problems, it seems that the Apple Bluetooth Keyboard is a seriously flawed device.

Mac Bluetooth :: Magic Mouse And Wireless Keyboard Not Pairing
I'm having trouble getting my wireless keyboard and Magic mouse to work. I've called Apple support 3 times, and they've even replaced the bluetooth card in my Mac Pro Quad Core(got it just before Christmas). I've tried everything, new batteries, trashing the com.apple.bluetooth.plist in the Preferences in the main hard drive and restarting. I've even left the mouse off for several days. Nothing works. I have noticed that sometimes the mouse and keyboard will pair, but not connect and will even connect, but not pair. Also, sometimes they will pair. And then connect, and then the mouse or keyboard cannot be found. I just don't know what to do. I've even talked to a 2nd level tech support person, and she tried replacing the BT card.

Mac Bluetooth :: Apple Wireless Keyboard Connected - Not Paired
my keyboard today decided to get annoying. it's been working for the past six months but today it would not connect, so i deleted the keyboard from my bluetooth device list and tried to re-add it. the Add Bluetooth Keyboard setting in the System Prefs will find the keyboard "paul's keyboard found" but it will not pair: "the pairing attempt was unsuccessful" the keyboard is about 4 inches away from the lappy. so i went to my local apple shop today and paired my keyboard with one of their machines no problem. i came home and the problem persists: the bluetooth setup will see my keyboard, but not pair with it.

i've deleted the keyboard from the bluetooth list
i've deleted my bluetooth preferences (and re-set my magic mouse no problem)
i've changed the batteries
i've zapped the P-RAM

what i've noticed is that the green light will not blink as if in 'Discovery' mode, which it did do in the Apple shop this morning. this makes me consider that the keyboard thinks it has been discovered, but is not. perhaps i'll remove the batteries overnight and see if that 'resets' the keyboard's brain.

Mac Bluetooth :: Wireless Keyboard Jams Magic Mouse
i'm having an issue with my old (3 batteries) wireless alu keyboard and my magic mouse. Sometimes the signal of the mouse doesn't seem to reach my macbook completely, e.g. the mouse starts to lag and to become unresponsive. I found a simple solution: Putting the wireless keyboard away changed everything. The mouse then reacts completely normally. Here is how my devices are positioned on my desk:

Current situation: Macbook Wireless Alu Keyboard Magic mouse

I think a simple solution would be to put the Macbook on the right of the Magic mouse, so that the signal cannot be interrupted by the keyboard. Haven't tired that yet, because there's no space on the right for the macbook
