Keynote 09 :: Edit A Speakers's List Live On Stage In Keynote?
At an upcoming convention counting a big number of delegates I'm planning to use Keynote to present an updated speaker's list on an overhead (external) screen visible for all delegates in the room. My idea is that each slide of my presentation will name the present speaker in the first text line of the slide and the two next speakers in the two subsequent lines. The obvious challenge here is that the speakers list (the order in which they will speak) won't be fixed. That means I will have to edit my upcoming slides continuously to keep the next slides (and the delegates in the room) up to date. This is probably all about whether or not it's possible to edit «the next slides» inside a current presentation (on the screen of my laptop), while the audience is watching the present slide on the overhead screen. (I don't yet have a second monitor on my desk to try this out, but there will soon be one available.) Is this possible in Keynote 09? If so, how should it be done? Keynote 09 :: Linking IPod Touch Keynote Remote App To Keynote
I just bought an iPod Touch and was able to link it to Keynote as a remote at my home and another home. When I come to the school where I teach, the iPod Touch will not connect and my MacBook won't recognize the iPod touch in the Keynote Preferences. They are on the same WiFi network so I have no idea what would be the problem. Information: MacBook Mac OS X (10.6.4)

Keynote 09 :: How To Send A Keynote To A Windows PC User Without Converting My Keynote
How can I send a Keynote to a windows PC user without converting my Keynote into .ppt or .pps ? I am NOT satisfied with the result when converting my long presentation into .mov (quicktime). Therefore, I wish to obtain the same trick with apple Keynote as PC can obtain by changing the .ppt file into a .pps. Meaning, as a result, I wish to obtain a presentation (not a film) which could open in Mac and Windows PC without showing the "side work, slides, etc..), and without anyone being able to use keynote to open the file and change its content. I have too much beautiful effects used on my Keynote presentation which WON'T apply if I use .ppt or .pps.

Keynote 09 :: Can't Get Audio Clip Timed In Keynote / How To Do This
I have an audio file where we just drag its icon onto the slide that has an image on it. The file is placed anywhere except on the image. The Apple store keynote trainers seem to be unable to figure out how to time the audio file when it starts to play, so right now, it comes in about 5 or so seconds after the clip appears. Any ideas on how to do this? The sound comes in too late.

Keynote 09 :: Text Won't Wrap Images When Pages File Exported To Word / Sort It?
I've been forced for several years by the corporate world where I work to use MS Word as a layout tool, which it isn't. Pages is great in this regard. When I lay out a document in Pages, insert floating images, and then export the document to Word, the text doesn't wrap around the floating art despite my trying various wraps in Word Layout. I also tried inserting the image in a Word table, another MS Word layout trick. Any ideas? Any rumors that Apple may fix this in Pages '10. Keynote 09 :: How To Change Slide Background Image
I'm new to keynote. So I'm using this theme and the standard BG image isn't exactly what I needed. I saved the image and made some slight changes in Photoshop. Now I want to change the background on this particular slide, so I went to the Slide Inspector, under the Appearance tab, and selected my image in Image Fill. The image that I modified doesn't seem to replace the default one. I set it to all the different resolution modes (stretch, fit to screen, etc.) to no avail. Keynote 09 :: Theme Creation - Same Background On Each Master Slide?
I have a background image that I would like to have on every slide of every presentation. Then I have for each presentation a different image detail that should be on each slide of that particular presentation. The former is rather simple: I create a new theme and put an image in the background of each "master slide" (is there a dedicated option for background images? I just take a normal image and move it in the back). This is already quite cumbersome as there are like 10 master slides, so it would be nice if one could specify that once and for all. The special detail that is different for each presentation but on all of its slides is even more annoying, as right now I have to put it on each slide or put it on each master slide manually. Are there smarter ways to achieve this than the ones I am using right now? Information: Apple Macbook Pro Mac OS X (10.5.6) Keynote 2009

Keynote 09 :: Exporting To Quicktime MOV With Transparent Background?
I try to export a presentation with a transparent background. I tried to create a new presentation with a white background, went into slide master and set background to none, then put some blue text on the slide. When exporting (fixed timing, "include transparency" checked), a MOV gets created with seemingly black background. When importing it into Final Cut, it turns out to be a black background, indeed. Do I have to create a green background and then remove it in Motion to achieve a transparent background? Information: MacBook Pro 17 Mac OS X (10.5.1)

Applications :: Using Double Click To Edit Boxes In Keynote?
I've recently embarked on making a few keynote themes, but the problem i'm coming across is all my textboxes are locked when you're not in the master slide edit mode - in the themes that come with keynote you get these 'double click to edit' boxes that can be changed by the user, but I haven't found a way of making a normal locked text box behave in this way.

Applications :: Changing Slide Background And Themes In Powerpoint Or Keynote
So I have several CME Conference Lectures (slides made in PPT). Unfortunately, I guess these presenters love color, and so all slides are in a blue background with white text or some variation thereof. Personally, I like to have a print out of the slides when I am reading/preparing for my future cases. etc. and so I physically print these slides out. Unfortunately, the unnecessary background color is an unnecessary burden on my printer, and so I was wondering how I can change the the background and text in one shot so I don't have print out the unnecessary color. I have tried trying to change the background from within powerpoint, but because the text is often in white, this causes the text to "disappear" on a white background. The only way to get the text back is to change the text color on a slide by slide basis. This is fine if the presentations are short, but most of these presentations are 200+ slides. I was hoping there is some trick either in powerpoint or keynote to be able to change slide themes (such that background and text can change in one shot).

Keynote 09 :: Moving Images With Transparency
I am quite new to keynote so hope this is not smt already solved in someway. I just noticed you cant move or select an object that has transparency so easily. An example would be a formula I copied from word. if I click in a transparent spot I cant do anything. But if I click on a "+" or anything black, it works. I don't suppose this was intended, if it is, it sure is annoying. If there is a solution you know, I would very much like to know. Information: mbp 2.6 ghz 4gb ram Mac OS X (10.6.1) Keynote 5.0.3

Keynote 09 :: Copying Images But Getting Placeholders
I'm accustomed to copying images from one slide or presentation to another slide or presentation. This is quite powerful and works as described. This morning instead of an the expected image, I got a placeholder. I have no clue why this happened. On a separate but perhaps related issue: When I duplicated a slide, which is my usual way of working since I only use a big blank master, the duplicate did not carry the background fill. This happens with option-drag or command-D. Any images in the original are placeholders in the duplicate. Information: One Intel iMac, several PPC iMacs and Powerbooks. Iphones. Mac OS X (10.6.4)

Keynote 09 :: Colour Profiles On Exported Images
I've been exporting keynote slides as png's to use in video presentations. The problem is that the png's are saved with colour profiles, which means if I export the images from diferent macs, or even the same mac but with a different monitor attached (therefore a diferent monitor colour profile active), the images have very noticeable colour variations. This is a major problem. I exported 1,000 slide transitions to import into Adobe Premiere, then about 500 slide updates that when imported, were in some cases darker or lighter even though I was using the same keynote and original images. I had to create a batch job in Photoshop to open, ignore the stored profile and save the images using a new default colour profile to try and get all the images consistent. There needs to be an option in either the Keynote preferences or export options to save exported images without colour profiles. Information: Mac Mini Mac OS X (10.5.6)

Keynote 09 :: When Switching To 16:9 - Stretches All Fullscreen Images
My presentations are hundreds of slides, no text, 1024 x 768. Occasionally, a client wants me to present on a 16:9 screen. I go to the document pane and change it to 1920 x 1080 and voila... EXCEPT Except that any image that was full size (covering the whole screen) is stretched. Not only that, but the metrics pane is set for constrain proportions. So now for each and every slide, I have to go in, uncheck constrain, move the picture so I can see the handles, use my eye to judge what it ought to be, unstretch it, and move it back where it belongs. How do I instruct Keynote to leave these pictures alone, the same way it leaves any picture that isn't all the way to the edges alone? Failing that, how can I change the images in bulk? Applications :: Organize Images For Powerpoint/Keynote?
i give lectures at a local university and wonder if you could suggest a few programs as a repository/organizer for a bunch of images (most will come off the web). I realize that Iphoto can do some of this, however, its tendency to group images by date is not terribly useful to me. What I'd prefer is something like Papers that would let me preview and tag the images. I wish I could be more specific; however, my imagination is hampered by my lack of familiarity with what software is out there. Also, if you have any suggestions for organizing materials for presentations--I give 8-10 different 1-hour presentations per week-
