IMac Intel :: Mini Display To HDMI Cable Sending Screen Saver Only - No Desktop Video

I have purchased the Apple recommended cable (Mini Display Port to HDMI )to connect my iMac to an HDMI input on my Samsung 50" Plasma. I can hear the audio and see the Screen Saver, BUT nothing else. None of the file folders on my desktop, nor any video from various QT files, nor from Final Cut Pro video output options. "Detect Displays" sees the Samsung, but the Samsung is not receiving any video from the iMac EXCEPT the Screen Saver.

I have a Mini diplay port to HDMI cable Male to male cable. I am trying to connect my Macbook Pro running OS 10.6.4 to my LG 32inch HDTV and cannot get display onto the HDTV.

The screen just blinks for a bit but still no luck. I have searched a number of forums and am still looking for the appropriate steps.

IMac Intel :: Cannot Connect 24" Via Mini Dvi To HDMi Adapter Cable To Sony Bravia 3
I'm having the worst time in trying to connect the following:

1. Imac 24" 3.06 dual with dvi connection
2. Mini dvi to HDMI adapter (this mac with this connection was produced only for a short while!).
3. 10' (foor) HDMI wire
3. Sony Bravia 32" model KDL32L-5000 with 3 HDML connections

i.When I wire everything up, I keep getting"no signal" on my Sony Bravia TV.
ii. It doesn't matter whether I connect the HDMI wire to HDMI 1,2, or 3 on my Sony
iii. On my Imac Hard Drive>>Applications>>System Preferences>>Displays

all I get is a list of different resolutions. There is no mention or mirrors etc. Nothing happens when I press "Gather Windows" or Detect Displays" Can you also give any solution in very simple and small detailed steps!

Mac Mini :: Westinghouse 24" LCD Monitor HDMI Input - Connected To Mini Via DVI & HDMI Cable?
The old Mini worked fine with my Westinghouse 24" LCD monitor (HDMI input - connected to Mini via DVI->HDMI cable). The new Mini Server 2010 has HDMI out, so I used a straight-through HDMI cable. The display looks terrible! All of the fonts appear to have a 'shadow' next to them - almost like an old analog VGA with 'interference'.Thinking it could be the cable, I went back to my old Mini's DVI->HDMI cable (and used the new Mini's HDMI->DVI adapter to connect to it). Same results. The Westinghouse monitor's native resolution is 1920x1200. The Mac says that it's configured for 1920x1200.

MacBook Pro :: Connecting To 32" HDTV - Mini Display Port To HDMI Cable
I have found a significant amount of discussion on different adapters for connecting the macbook pro mini displayport to an HDTV and they often discuss different adapters. I've found a mini displayport to HDMI cable on that is amazingly priced (as always from them). Does anyone have any experience with this cable? There was a lot of forum discussion last year about a number of different mini displayport to HDMI adapters not working with the macbook pro. Can anyone recommend the current best solution? Also, I hear that the mini displayport carries an audio signal. Is it digital audio such that I could plug the HDMI into my HDTV and then use an optical audio cable to send the audio to my home theatre receiver?

Mac Mini :: Display Won't Sleep - Screen Saver Kicks In, But The Display Never Turns Off?
I've recently started having a problem with my 2009 Mac mini. The display (and computer) never goes to sleep. The screen saver kicks in, but the display never turns off, and the computer never goes to sleep. I go to work and when I come home the screen saver is still chugging away (I use the basic screensaver that just shows the Apple logo). Even if I set the display sleep timer to 1 minute it doesn't turn off.

IMac Intel :: Mini Display Port - HDMI Adaptor / Works On Bootcamp - No Signal On OS X
I have a 21.5" iMac (mid '10) with ATI Radeon HD 4670 Graphics Card. I recently bought a mini Display port to HDMI converter to connect my existing Fujitsu Siemens L22-W3 (1680x1050 native) display. My display has a DVI input, therefore I use an additional HDMI to DVI converter (I was using this setup for my ex laptop having HDMI output). I think I am not the only person who has this HDMI "no signal" syndrome. But yes, this is also my problem. MAC seems to recognize and parse EDID information from my display correctly. Listed resolutions and their timing settings etc. seems fine when I cross check the data with SwitchResX (comparing with another windows laptop having my display plugged)

The funniest part (and the one which makes me so crazy about this problem) is that when I boot Windows 7 64bit on my iMac, Windows recognizes my display and it works without any problem! So there is no problem with my physical cable setup. I have seen that, on MAC OS X some people could have even some green screen or small flickering on external display shortly, but I had nothing at all so far! It was always "no signal" for me even though it works fine -without any display corruption- on the win system running via bootcamp. There is an interesting behaviour on my screen when the output is active on MAC. Even though it is pure black, if i push the on/off button, it does not respond at first try. It somehow makes me think that the incoming HDMI signal makes the display busy, perhaps cause it is incompatible or so? I would ask if anyone has any idea, but I guess not? I just wonder if someone else has also same situation like mine ? Everything running fine via bootcamp, but no signal in native Mac Os X ?

Final Cut Pro :: IMac To HDTV - Display Port To HDMI Cable?
I've used an external NTSC monitor before, with a Canopus converter from my old iMac. Now I've got a new iMac and an HDTV and I'm wondering if I can use that as a monitor. I'm thinking I could probably bypass the converter altogether. One problem, though, is that the geniuses at Apple only saw fit to provide one Firewire port on these new iMacs. It looks like I've got a display port, though. Could I buy a display port to HDMI cable, and would that work?

I've got an iMac 7,1 running OS X 5.8. We just purchased a Sony LCD TV w/ HDMI input capability. What would I need to purchase to run my Mac thru my TV? All that the TV manual says is the PC cable needs to have a ferrite core. In other discussions it looks like you also need to have an audio cable running from the computer to the TV b/c the computer doesn't support audio thru the output (computer purchased about two years ago).

I went online to follow directions which told me to go into my 'System Preferences', then click 'Display' and then click the 'Arrangements' tab that would appear.  However no arrangements tab appears. Did I buy the right cord?

Mac Mini :: HDMI Switch - Screen Sharing Disabled (No Audio / Video)
I have an "early 2009" mini. I hooked it up to my HD TV through a Sony amp that acts as an HDMI switch. It works great until I switch to a different component (e.g. satellite receiver). When I switch back to the mini there is no video or audio. Screen sharing is also disabled: I can't access the mini from another Mac. Oddly, I can use the iphone Remote app to operate iTunes and send output through AirPlay. I could also access its shared files through the network.I've tried hdmireviver. It works for a while, but when the mini is not selected by the HDMI switch for more than 15 minutes or so, it fails.Do later models of the mini work more congenially with an HDMI switch?

Final Cut Pro :: 3d Editing - Connect Imac To Tv Using Mini Display Port To HDMI Connector
I am looking at Cineform HD or Dashwood 3d Toolbox as a means of editing 3d footage. I understand that I only need 1 of these in order to edit in 3d. Is this true? Secondly, if I was to output the video in side by side mode, am I able to connect my iMac to a 3d TV using a min display port to HDMI connector (ie would this support HDMI version 1.4)? If this display port does not work with the HDMI v1.4 spec, is there any way to upgrade this, or buy an external display adaptor for the iMac (otherwise I would need to splash out on a Mac Pro!) Thirdly, if I use FCP to output the finished product to Bluray, will this work on a 3d Bluray Player and the 3d TV recognize this as 3d footage?
