IMac Intel :: Desktop Background Is Moving With My Mouse?

When I turned on my Mac this morning, I noticed that some of the fonts on my desktop were a little blurry and some appeared to be bold in bold. Also, when I move the mouse arrow to the right, the entire screen shifts left. When I move it left, it shifts right. Same when I move up (it goes down) or down (it moves up). By entire screen, I mean everything from the dock at bottom, to the tool bar with my clock up top. I don't know why this is happening. Last night, when I turned off my computer, everything was normal.

IMac Intel :: Entire Desktop Moves With Mouse Movement
I have noticed something weird with my Intel iMac lately. My entire desktop moves when I move my mouse quickly. This includes the menu bar and the dock - the whole screen, both side to side, and up and down. It also happens if I move the mouse to the right edge and bottom edge of the screen, but not to the left or the top. There is not a lot of movement but it is definitely noticeable. Is there a setting that needs to be changed or an adjustment somewhere?

IMac PPC :: Why Mouse Won't Work - Cursor Is Not Moving?
I just got a used iMac (running 10.5.8) with the metal keyboard and mouse. I unpacked the box, plugged in the computer, hooked up the keyboard and mouse. The computer screen came up. I can move around a little via the keyboard's arrow keys but the cursor will not move via the mouse. I got it to move a little by swiping my thumb across the back but that is it. I switched my older, working, keyboard and mouse to the newer machine and it didn't work there. I switched the newer metal keyboard and mouse my older iMac and they worked just fine. What could be going on with the new (but used) computer? I have tried every port for the mouse, keyboard as well as every back port but nothing moves the cursor.

Since i no longer have a track ball, how do I access Widgets? Functionality seems to have degraded quite a bit from th Mighty Mouse. I installed the update but still get the same functionality.

IMac Intel :: Background Noise From Right Speaker
I noticed a background noise on my new 27" especially on the right speaker. It's most intense when I move the mouse or scroll in itunes.

My set up contains:
External Firewire Apogee Duett soundcard with shielded 9/6 cable from Lindy
Yamaha HS80 M speakers with shielded power cord and jack cable from Oehlbach
Also every device is connected to a shielded multiple socket outlet from Oehlbach
IMac is connected to the internet through WiFi

I had a G5 gefore with an firewire 6/6 cable from Oehlbach and everything was fine! Is it because of my new firewire 9/6 cable from Lindy?

but back to my question. After setting up my system and installing all the tools and software I was trying to find some cool images for the desktop background, like stills from Avatar or something like that, but I wasn't able to find anything near the iMacs resolution.

IMac Intel :: Changing Background Color Of Window?
A right click on a window such as, say, Documents or any subwindow within that window such as Pictures will reveal a menu that includes "Show View Options". Among other things the view options allow one to change the background appearance. One may choose from white, color or picture. I like to select "color" and choose from the palette a very light gray and then click "OK" This cuts down on the glare of a pure white background. The problem is that the color selection does not hold. The next time I return to that window the background is of another color, sometimes so dark as to be near black. I can reset the color back to the light gray and as often as not the next time I open that window the color is back to a much darker color again.

IMac Intel :: Constantly Accessing Or Saving Data In The Background Automatically?
I have been very happy with my new 27" iMac quad core i5 and it has worked flawlessly over the two weeks I have had it. There is one curiosity, however. Even though the hard drive is much quieter than on my older 24" iMac, I have noticed that it seems to be constantly (clicking sound) accessing or saving data in the background, even if I am not doing something that would involve disk access (e.g., saving a file). Is this normal? What is going on?

IMac Intel :: Dead / Stuck Pixel - Moving?
I have a brand new Intel aluminum iMac (just a few months old) which came with 1 dead pixel which is hardly noticeable so I never minded. It's been storming here a lot lately, so I've been shutting off & unplugging the iMac every day. When returning from work today and turning it on I now have this black pixel that 'moves' around the screen. It stays in approximately the same 500px by 500px area right of center, but it definitely moves. I had downloaded a pixel un-sticker (flickering RGB) that is 100px by 100px and upon returning after it running for 5 minutes the black pixel had moved off the flickering area that is 100px by 100px. Anyone ever heard of this before? I restarted and it did nothing. I'll be shutting down and unplugging again tonight, so possibly it will be gone when I reboot tomorrow? I did some Google searching and didn't see anything pertaining to a 'moving' pixel.
