IMac Intel :: Bluetooth Keyboard And Magic Mouse - Not Working!

For some reason, the keyboard and magic mouse are not working. The iMac was recently bought, late 2010, and came with the Keyboard and Mouse. Both connected via bluetooth and worked just fine until today. The mouse, although paired, is not connected. The keyboard, paired and connected, isn't working at all. And I'm positive that their battery levels are +70%.

Any ideas?

IMac Intel :: New 21.5 IMac-bluetooth Keyboard And Magic Mouse Are Not Working
The first symptom of a problem was that in the initial startup of the system. I had turned on the keyboard and mouse as the book says and the machine just hung looking for the mouse. One in a while it will find the keyboard OR the mouse but never both together and it takes way too long when it does. I cannot truly remove these devices in bluetooth prefs. I turn off bluetooth and the devices and even removed them from the list but when bluetooth comes back on they are repopulated there. Any idea how to start from scratch on this? I created a new user to no avail and replaced the batteries in both devices.

IMac Intel :: Pair Wireless Keyboard And Magic Mouse With An External Bluetooth Dongle
Can I pair my wireless keyboard and magic mouse with an external bluetooth dongle instead of the iMac's built-in bluetooth reciever? My reason is the reception doesn't quite reach the lounge room where I'd love to mirror display on HDTV. My idea is to hang a dongle outside the doorway connected to a USB extension.

I've tried plugging a dongle into spare USB port, the mouse and keyboard loose connectivity until I remove it.

IMac :: Using 27" Magic Mouse/Bluetooth Keyboard In Windows 7?
I've been trying to get Windows 7 (under Boot Camp) to recognize my Bluetooth Keyboard and Magic Mouse, and for some reason it's not working. I first tried it with the drivers that come on the disc, and those didn't work (found the mouse/keyboard but wouldn't work), then I tried the Bluetooth update that Apple released, and that didn't work either. The mouse and keyboard show up in the Bluetooth devices as 'Connected', but neither work.

When I restart the computer the mouse/keyboard work at the login screen, but once I login they stop working. If I boot into Mac OS, and then boot back into Windows, they work fully, but after about 5 minutes they stop working. Why is this happening? Did anyone else have this problem?

IMac Intel :: Magic Mouse - In Bluetooth Settings It Shows As A Wireless Apple Mouse?
As with a lot of you I received a Magic Mouse for Christmas. However I'm not sure it's recognized as the Magic Mouse. In the Bluetooth settings, it shows as a "Wireless Apple Mouse." Is this correct? Since i no longer have a track ball, how do I access Widgets? Functionality seems to have degraded quite a bit from th Mighty Mouse. I installed the update but still get the same functionality.

IMac Intel :: Apple Wired Keyboard Not Working After Installation Of "Magic Mouse"?
I have an iMac running the latest version of Snow Leopard.

The keyboard had always worked normally when also using the normal wired mouse.

However, I was given a wireless "Magic Mouse" as a present recently and since installing it, the keyboard is "dead" after any restart and the only way to make it "live" again is to unplug the USB connector briefly then plug it in again. After that the keyboard, wired mouse and Magic Mouse all work normally again. How can I get rid of this irritation?

IMac Intel :: Bluetooth Magic Mouse And 21.5"
I really loved the bluetooth magic mouse that came with the iMac 21.5" I got in February. OK, so I needed to replace the batteries about once per month. That seemed "ok."But there are two frustrations that lead me to think of changing to a USB version of the magic mouse, and recommending people NOT get the bluetooth version1. Sometimes (admittedly not often at all - like once every few weeks) the mouse bluetooth connection to the iMac will get lost. This never happens with the bluetooth keyboard.(By the by, the bluetooth keyboard is still on it's first set of batteries after 4 months, with 14% charge remaining.)

IMac Intel :: Bluetooth+Magic Mouse Connection Gone?
I have had my iMac now for about a year and half and all of a sudden my Bluetooth Magic Mouse, Mighty Mouse, AND wireless keyboard do not connect with my iMac. Any suggestions? Any time I go into settings and click on bluetooth, it takes a while to load up. It also had "Magic Mouse," "Wireless Keyboard," and "Mouse #2" loaded and paired, but not connected. I removed those links and tried to 'reinstall' them, although the iMac could not find any of them.

Any suggestions? Could my Bluetooth receiver be dead?

Thank you.

Mac Bluetooth :: Bluetooth Keyboard And Magic Mouse Not Happy?
I'm running OX 10.5.8 on a 27" intel iMac - i've just added the magic mouse and wireless keyboard and although the mouse works just fine the keyboard won't allow me to type. it pairs Ok but the weird thing is that the F keys are out of whack i.e. pressing the volume key brings up widgets!! I've downloaded the latest drivers zapped the PRAM and trashed the Bluetooth prefs all to no avail. Mouse works a treat but no joy with the keyboard. FYI the same issue applies to the Allu wired keyboard. i'm having to type this out on an USB keyboard which was lying around in the dead tech cupboard.

IMac Intel :: Magic Mouse Only Partially Working?
Anyone else having a problem with Magic Mouse only partially working? I can scroll up and down, zoom and swipe with 2 fingers but cannot get it to scroll horizontally or 360 at all. Also it will only scroll up and down using the 1 finger if I'm on a web page with a side bar for scrolling - it only works as a traditional mouse for instance on the imac front page or on sites without a side bar.

Should I be sending it back or is there a fix? On OS 10.6.2 and mouse showing in bluetooth.

That is bad enough, but it is also draining the batteries on my white Apple wireless keyboard. It is like the mouse is keeping the keyboard turned on or is communicating with it all the time or something?

I.e I cannot scroll with the Magic Mouse and I cannot use the media buttons on the keyboard (adjust volume etc). Is there any way of getting this to work in Windows 7 (x64)?

I have tried some solutions I found via Google but none of them seems to do the trick. Is there any "official" solution?

OS X :: Bluetooth: Apple Wireless Keyboard, And Magic Mouse?
I was thinking of purchasing an Apple Wireless Keyboard, and an Apple Magic Mouse. I'm absolutely sure it'll be a wise investment, and an awesome Christmas gift. My current Mighty Mouse is quite horrible, I don't even have the ability to scroll up. Of course I don't bother to waste my time cleaning it. Oh well, they don't have a scroll bar for nothing.

The only problem is that I'm not sure if my Mac has the proper capabilities to enable usage for the wireless perpherials I'm planning to buy. This is somewhat how my Mac looks, though I'm running on Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.3 (I purchased the disk). I believe my computer has Bluetooth, there's an Icon for it in System Preferences. In my System Profiler, it also has a Bluetooth tab (here's the information is shows, I just cropped out some info. at the top, and my name).

How do I know if my Mac is set for these two items?Looking forward to your responses.

Mac Bluetooth :: Magic Mouse And Wireless Keyboard Not Pairing
I'm having trouble getting my wireless keyboard and Magic mouse to work. I've called Apple support 3 times, and they've even replaced the bluetooth card in my Mac Pro Quad Core(got it just before Christmas). I've tried everything, new batteries, trashing the com.apple.bluetooth.plist in the Preferences in the main hard drive and restarting. I've even left the mouse off for several days. Nothing works. I have noticed that sometimes the mouse and keyboard will pair, but not connect and will even connect, but not pair. Also, sometimes they will pair. And then connect, and then the mouse or keyboard cannot be found. I just don't know what to do. I've even talked to a 2nd level tech support person, and she tried replacing the BT card.

Mac Bluetooth :: Wireless Keyboard Jams Magic Mouse
i'm having an issue with my old (3 batteries) wireless alu keyboard and my magic mouse. Sometimes the signal of the mouse doesn't seem to reach my macbook completely, e.g. the mouse starts to lag and to become unresponsive. I found a simple solution: Putting the wireless keyboard away changed everything. The mouse then reacts completely normally. Here is how my devices are positioned on my desk:

Current situation: Macbook Wireless Alu Keyboard Magic mouse

I think a simple solution would be to put the Macbook on the right of the Magic mouse, so that the signal cannot be interrupted by the keyboard. Haven't tired that yet, because there's no space on the right for the macbook

Mac Bluetooth :: Magic Mouse Erratic With BT Apple Keyboard
I just bought a new 24" ACD, and a the wireless Apple keyboard (the small one). Immediately, I noticed my Magic mouse behavior erratic. It was lagging, stuttering, and all around a mess to deal with. I reset the PRAM/SMC (old standards), I deleted the mouse and keyboard, then paired them again, restarted. It seemed to work fine for a while, but then again it comes back. Could it be interference with the wireless keyboard? Besides the 24" ACD the only change was the wireless keyboard. I'm working now, but tomorrow I may try turning off the keyboard and see if the mouse exhibits the same behavior. I don't think it could be because of the new display.
