Applications :: Have $24.95 In ITunes Card Credit But Charged Credit Card?
Dec 28, 2009
So today I decided to send one of my friends a very special christmas present - episodes of SNL. I decided to first send her the Just Commercials episode, because I know its one of her favorite parts of the sketch show. The show is $1.99, and I filled out the "Gift" form. However, when I clicked "Done", the iTunes page said that it had billed my CREDIT CARD. I have $24.95 in store credit, from various gift cards for iTunes. Why did this happen, and how can I fix this? I really really really can NOT have this bill be on my credit card.
I have an iTunes credit as I received a gift card from someone. I went onto iTunes and bought a game for my iPhone and it billed my credit card instead. The price of the game was well within my credit amount. Am I only allowed to purchase music etc? Is there a limitation on what can be purchased because I was never prompted to select to use my credit or bill to my credit card.
My questions are concerning stolen credit cards and what, if anything Apple/iTunes can do to help. My wife's purse was stolen last night so for the last five hours we have been jumping through hoops trying to get that all sorted out. A very long process which I think will be ongoing for some time. We have a clear picture of the thief from a surveillance camera at a local store. Among the other purchases made, was a charge to iTunes.
Is it possible to add a card that is in someone else's name to an existing account? Or, did they have to open a new account in my wife's name? What information does iTunes gather in these cases? Will they be able to provide us any usable info? User name or password? IP address, maybe? Can an IP address lead to a physical address? Would the police even follow up on this stuff? Has anybody been through anything similar, and was Apple/iTunes helpful at all?
I am going to change my iTunes account' country from Italy to US..My italian account doesn't have any credit card specified, so, if I switch to the US account, will I have to use a credit card or can I use "none" as payment method?I know that if I use none I won't be able to buy any paid app, but I really don't have a CC to use.If I must use a payment method can I use a gift card? and one last thing, will I receive the updates to the current apps I have?
When I tried to buy a song two weeks ago, I got a weird message saying that my billing information has changed, and that I need to verify the changes. When I clicked verify (Discover card, BTW) iTunes says that credit card processing is temporarily unavailable. Does anyone know how I can correct this?
Have a new credit card, trying to update the info and addresses and keep getting told my Visa card is unnacceptable in my region even though it's the same bank card, same address and same user for the past 5 years. Tried everything, even writing to technical support again with no reply in the last 3 months. So much for 24 hour responses.
Ive seen tutorials that show there is a non option when it comes to choosing payment types but i cant see it. I dont have a credit card yet, i was looking forward to using an itunes gift card, but i dont see it work.
After reviewing suggestions online for removing my credit card from itunes billing the overall suggestion was to check "none " on the credit card panel in my itunes account. There is no "NONE" option. What else can I do to remove this card?
Today I set up my Apple ID from appleid.apple.com and was hoping to use the Download Album Artwork feature in my iTunes library (who doesn't like to have some nice cover art for their albums? Huh?). Unfortunately, It came up with this message:
So naturally, I go on and click Review and it takes me to this:
I click Continue and it leads me to this:
I check I have read and agree to these terms and conditions. Eventually, I get to this screen:
I fill out all of the billing address, and don't have an iTunes gift card, so I leave that out. What is left? A Credit Card field! I am only 14 years old! I don't have a Credit Card! Is there any way to get past this? I have noticed that the same thing happens in the Mac App Store. All I want to do is get the Album Artwork and get a few free apps for my iPod Touch as well as my MacBook.
I just got my macbook and ipod touch I was trying to get the 2.0 update for the ipod but I couldn't create an itunes account because I don't have a credit card and I live in a country which doesn't have a store. So what do I Do? I can get a friend from canada to buy me an itunes gift card but can I use it here ? or even a paypal one? And still if I create the account can I use it to buy the update and apps from my country? Or download missing album art I guess my second question is can I buy stuff from another country's store?
I hate this thing when I try to download music or movies, they ask me again my password and give me my credit card details, when I enter the code, they say is not valid!!! what? I just bought from you guys several times, what are you talking about now????
The funny thing is that sometime it does, as matter of fact I have bought more than 30 movies and songs and suddenly ask me again the code and ????
iTunes keeps saying my credit card's security code is wrong when I am entering the correct one everytime? I definitely have enough money on my card, and it hasn't been cancelled.
I,ve been using the same credit card for some time now. But now all of the sudden it says my security number is wrong. All of the information on my account is correct, i have not changed anything. I tried using another card as well with the same effect.
I setet up an iTunes account with a $25 card I bought from the Apple Store on 5th Avenue in NYC. Since then, I send money to a friend who lives in the US and he emails me back the code from a gift voucher. My account is registered at his address but doesn't have any billing information in. I was just reading that when you go in for the first time, it asks you to verify your credit card information. As I don't live in the US and don't have a US credit card, and set the account up with store credit, how would I go through and confirm my billing information without card info? Also if I can get around the problem above, and I have credit on my iTunes Store account, can this be used to pay for apps?
Tried out the App Store today, it looks cool. Way cooler than expected, I actually like it. I decided to go on a downloading spree of FREE apps. Now I have an Apple ID, but I've never filled out the credit card info. I will not be using the App Store for anything paid, I don't want to put in my credit card info, is there any way I can create an account without giving Apple my CC details? Cons: seems pretty hopeless at detecting installed apps. Apparently I don't have GarageBand or Keynote installed. Ah well.
When updating my apps I am told that my security code for my credit card is invalid. I have tried changing this in itunes, but the message continues to pop up.
I purchased new credit card and every time I login to change my personal information it give a message said that my credit card is wrong?I used this car with ebay and other website and it's work perfectly.
