a few avi videos seem to play back out of sync in quicktime and i don't know why. When i play them in VLC they are much better but still very slightly out. I am running an core 2 duo imac.

The audio is out of sync everywhere not just on my iPod. So if I watch it on my computer, iTunes, iPod it's allways out of sync. So my question is, is their a way to fix the audio without ruining the quality of the video.

I tried it a few different ways, as AIFF, another, and it saves a large file but doesn't sound when I play it. No sound. Is there a way to save it so it's audible? These are AVI files.

I've managed to get the "Screen Recording" function working properly (how cool is that??) but it doesn't seem to be picking up any audio. Is there any way to do that? I tried running a simultaneous audio recording, but it doesn't recognize the audio coming in with the video as an audio feed. I'm using Quicktime X on a Dec. 2007 macbook running Snow Leopard. I downloaded Pro, as well as the MPEG2 add on. It plays video fine, but can someone please tell me how to get it to play audio step by step?
Lastly, I have Final Cut and iTunes and audio won't play with the video there either. I am assuming once I have it fixed in quicktime, it will work in all other programs too?
i am trying to get mplayer to play a video through airfoil/airport express.... i had heard that m player can delay the video so that the audio through express and the video are synced together, but for the life of me i can't figure it out!

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm having this issue with imovie 09 where when I export the movie project, the audio and video is out of sync starting at this specific area. What's odd though is that it plays fine while I'm editing in imovie but when the movie is exported, the file is messed up. I tried exporting using Quicktime and exporting the movie normally. I also tried replacing the clip where the problem with the audio started but it's still the same. I'm really upset because I spent hours editing this project but.

With HD TV shows under my own custom iPad preset it encodes beautifully, but if it's simply SD the audio is off in both normal profile, universal and AppleTV. The file itself is fine as I've tested, but it never encodes the video properly.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI never noticed this on my last hp laptop but my new dell almost everything in itunes plays with the audio out of sync with the video. most noticeable on podcasts. my dell is not high end but it has duel core amd 64 4400 chips 2 gigs of ram. running xp. it has a built in nvidia geforce 6150l video card with a built in sound card. it has done this since I got it a month ago. it is not an issue playing dvd's in windows media player. just itunes. any clues?

So what do you all think Apple needs to do to get Quicktime back in the mainstream as a leading platform for DRM (of necessity) protected TV & Video?

any song i listen to in itunes skips horribly! also, the audio from any movie file i play in either quicktime or VLC has the same problem.
i have updated all three programs to the current version.
i tried disabling my login items as recommended by some advice i found by googling, but this didn't work either.
i also made a new admin account to see if the problem would still occur on a fresh account and it did.
i don't know what else to do. what could be causing this problem?
might it be hardware related? i don't know how to check for that.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi have been making backup QT movies of a whole bunch of Beta SP tapes using an AJA Ki Pro to record ProRes 422 files. I have used QT7pro to trim these movies and add metadata. Played back on QT7 (7.6.6) they sound find but playing the same movie on QT player 10.1 there is an echo on the audio as if one track has been knocked back about 6 or 7 frames. Using QT7 to set Ch1 and 2 to mono or stereo makes no difference, just spaces the echo out.Â

Since upgrading to os lion, quicktime movies won't play audio with the video anymore. I'll hit play and the audio will sound out for a fraction of a second while the video continues to play. I never had this problem with snow leopard. Â

Recently I noticed that ALL of the audio from an entire folder of .mov files has disappeared. Video playback is fine. I tried to export from Quicktime to experiemtn but it suggests that the file is corrupt and can't be exported...but all of them? Files are being kept on external drive.
