Aperture :: Image Scrambling Inside Aperture
I have recently updated to Snow leopard and updated software now running 10.6.2. Aperture 2 (2.1.4) which ran fine under the old leopard os now giving me problems. All the interfaces work fine but if I try to zoom in on an image or crop or rotate in some circumstances the image in the viewer window on the screen scrambles. Sometimes only half the image becomes garbled sometime all of it. Whats worse is that the scrambled image can be exported or printed showing the interference I see on screen.

Aperture :: Aperture 3 Using Master Copy Of Image?
Should I make adjustments to the Master copies of my images or should I allow Aperture 3 to create new versions of the images when I make adjustments to the images. I am concerned that the new versions of the images will take up a lot of my valuable hard drive space. Information: Macbook Pro Mac OS X (10.5.6) 15.4" 2.4GHz Intel

Applications :: To Put Image In Mail Signature?
I'm trying to put a small image into one of my standard signatures for outgoing mail. In the Mail.app pref pane this works fine. Just drag the image into the field and its there. However, when I send an email with the signature at the bottom, the image is just received as an attachment. Is there a way to "embed" the image into the signature and subsequently the email? The image is a 60kb jpg image by the way.

Aperture :: Relocating Managed Image Files To Referenced Image Files On A External HD
When I go to relocate masters(from managed to reference) it seems to give me an image-by-image process. I have never done this: is there a way to relocate all managed files at one go to referenced files on an external HD? My goal is to have library on my machine but master files(referenced ones) on another HD in order to save space. I must say AP 3.0.2 is fine for adjusting images, etc. The whole library/masters/versions aspect is not so clear to me (and yes I have read the manual ) Information: MacBook Pro Mac OS X (10.6.3) 6 GB Ram

OS X Leopard :: Make A Disk Image That Takes Up The Whole Drive And Put The Backup?
I am buying an extra backup drive with the plan of backing up all my stuff (via time machine) and leaving it in my office (so that its in a separate location from my backup at home). I'm wondering, though, if there's a way to password-protect the whole time machine backup. Can I do something like make a disk image that takes up the whole drive and put the backup on there? I heard you can password protect folders that way but I've never actually done it. Information: MacBook (white), iPod Touch (1st gen) Mac OS X (10.5.5)

Logic Studio / Pro :: Bar Ruler Wrong Time At One Hour?
The bar ruler in logic shows a wrong time if a song is longer than one hour. I see 55:00, 56:00 ... and then 2:00:0 instead of 1:00:0. This happens due to the synchronization settings where there is Bar Position 1 1 1 1 set to 01:00:00:00.00 If I change the settings to 00:00:00:00.00 the bar ruler displays 55:00, ...59:00, 00:00 instead of 1:00.0, so wrong again. IMac Intel :: Text Edit Margins - Cannot Move Ruler Indicators
Using custom Size "Note" 5.5 x 8.5. Margins seem to Default to 1" and I want them to be .5 but can't move the indicators on the ruler and find no "inspector" or other way of setting margins. I have 'Pages' but Text Edit is a lot faster and easier for just sending informal notes and letters. Aperture :: Cannot Put Referenced Files In System Trash
I had a project with photos referenced from an external drive, in a single folder on that drive. I 'deleted' them (moved them to the Aperture Trash). I selected 'empty Aperture trash' and told it to put the referenced files in the system trash. It removed them from the Aperture trash, but nothing was changed in the folder the photos were actually in on the external drive. Shouldn't those have been moved to the trash? Aperture :: Using Image Rotation
I am new to macs and aperture and usually use photoshop. Can anyone tell me how to rotate a picture by anything other than 90 degrees? I'm probably just not looking in the right place, in ps it was under image-rotate-custom. Also I cant find this in iphoto, but maybe you can only do the basics in that. Aperture :: Image File Enlargement
I'm using Aperture 2 and would like to enlarge the file size export output for jpg's. If I edit an export preset (percent of original) to 150% image size, will that actually send more information when using that larger file to say, print a poster with? It might be an obvious answer but would like to check first before doing so. I would not like the image to be pix-elated or turn out wacky after being printed.

Aperture :: Exporting Image With Visible File Name
I hate Aperture's file naming with every ounce of my being. It is so frustrating and this simple item kills my workflow. 1. I import the originals. File name is _dsc.0450.nef 2. On import, I change the name to lapresle_20090926_0450 and sort by image date. 3. I edit. 4. I move images around and group them visually by subject: the details, the groomsmen, etc... 5. I rename the files sequentially. So file #450 might now be #575. The new name might be iconex_090926_prf0575 and sort by version name. The proofs go up and the client orders #575. I open the image in A2, edit with Photoshop and save. I go back to A2 and the stack now has two images, iconex_090926_prf0575 and lapresle_20090926_0450. I export the client's retouched image to a folder on my desktop. My file naming presets are "version name_custom name" with the custom names being 4x6, 5x7, 8x10. When I'm ordering from my lab, each image has the print size in the name so I can keep big orders straight. After each image that gets an external edit, I have to go into the folder on my desktop and rename the file. Is there any way to have A2 export the image with the name that is visible? Going back in and highlighting and renaming every file to match the proof is so time consuming. Information: MacBook Pro Mac OS X (10.5.8)

Aperture :: Options For Editing Image Cannot Be Clicked
I just got Aperture for Christmas. I am familiar with photoshop. But for some reason I cant get Aperture to work for me. When I opened the program, after installation, I imported a few RAW images from my CF. They were imported into the projects. I clicked on the tab to make adjustments to a selected image- and I cant even click anything. I can see the image in the viewer, and all the options to adjust the photo are there, but I cant use them. Not to mention the bottom thumbnails of the images don't show up (just dotted boxes), and a "loading" icon lingers at the top of the image when its brought into the larger viewing window. Its like all the options to edit the image cant be clicked on. I can see that the adjustments window recognizes the Images as coming from my Canon 40d. So Im kind of clueless here.
